I walked into this garden
I was feeling mighty fine
I took a look up to the sky
just to try and tell the time
a man came walking long
he says son is there something
you want to know
I say mister can you tell me
where does that sunshine go

he says boy I ain’t no doctor
I don’t know all the law
I live inside this garden
so I’ll tell you what I saw
the sun is just the light
that lives inside our heart
you keep your love light burning
the sun will never part

I could tell that this was true
I knew that he was wise
I heard it in his voice
I saw it in his eyes
then he disappeared
without so much as another word
I wonder to this day
was it just an angel voice I heard

now I live inside this garden
I sleep among these trees
I look up to the sky
I fall down on my knees
the sun is just the light
that lives inside our heart
I keep my love light burning
the sun will never part
