Blindfish awoke. Or at least he thought he woke, but this too could be a dream. He wondered aloud, “I am, I think.” He could not be sure he was as he was alone. No other fish around to confirm his reality. No light in his environment to allow him to see. It appeared blindfish awoke alone at the bottom of the ocean, in a cave. An underwater cave which allowed no light and resembled the unconscious.
Suddenly there came a faint sound. A sound transmitting through the water. Tiny blindfish recognized this sound and made an instinctive tone of his own. It was an equally tiny sound, high pitched in frequency, vibrating in ripples. It rose up and out through the sea to the unknown everywhere, the unknown above. Then a sound was returned, it sounded like a call.
Young blindfish listened to the call, to the sound. It seemed to be calling him upward, outward from the cave, into the great surrounding waters. The young fish knew he must swim toward the tone and begin his journey. His journey out of the cave of unconsciousness and into the sea of consciousness. The tone called him up and out ringing as a beacon would light the night. But to blindfish, night was all his young life had known. And the cave of unconsciousness was where he knew it.
Now, in an instant, a quick moment, blindfish burst forth from the cave. One could say he swam as he was a fish, but in another reality, blindfish flew from the cave following his natural instinct. His instinct told him of a new reality. A reality beyond unconsciousness, a reality of consciousness. A sea of consciousness, no less. Blindfish was excited as he rose toward the tone out of unconsciousness.
Now blindfish could not see through his normal eyes as they had not fully developed in the darkness of cave. He could, however, experience the presence of light. He became aware of this heightened sensory awareness as he began rising in the sea. As he rose he became aware of a sensation. A sensation between, and slightly above, his normal eyes. Blindfish had a third eye. This eye was not on the surface of his face like the other two, but sunken back into his forehead and covered by his fish scales. This third eye saw everything, even light. Blindfish became delighted by recognizing his third eye.
Blindfish learned to see the light of consciousness and was awake. Still something continued to draw him upward. In reality, as blindfish rose in the sea of consciousness, the sea itself became more illuminated. The sea became more translucent with light from the sun. The sun level of the sea was the super consciousness. The level where things vibrated so dimensionally that water became air and the sea was space. Blindfish liked this place.
Blindfish thought this place to be perfect. He knew his super consciousness was light and enlightenment. He knew he would now know a new life. He had ascended out of the cave and into the light. A life of light allowed him to fully see, to be fully awake. To be rid of his blindness, and obtain vision. Yet he was still alone. He wondered, “How could this be?”
It was at this time that the miracle happened. Remember the tone, the original sound. The sound that had led young blindfish from the cave. This was the sound of love. As blindfish followed the tone ever upward, he realized that he was receiving a message in the sound. He also realized that his normal eyes could now see. Suddenly blindfish saw it! The Blindfish School. He had been swimming with his family this entire time and had been in his birthing place. The School of Blindfish had been awaiting the young fishes’ awakening. Blindfish celebrated the birth of one of their own, an Angelfish. Ready to swim or fly in the ocean of super consciousness. Ready to have fun in its new universe. Ready to receive the light.
